Establishment of the Union of Universities of Art of the Turkic World

Upon  initiative of TURKSOY  "The Union of Universities of Art of the Turkic World" was established at a meeting held in Almaty, Kazakhstan. With the decision made at the meeting,  Azamat Satılbaldı, the Rector of the T. Jurgenov National Academy of Arts was elected to the post of  chairman of the union for two years.

The meeting was attended by TURKSOY Deputy Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bilal Çakıcı,  the Rector of the Azerbaijan State University of Civilization and Fine Arts Prof. Dr. Ceyran Mahmudova, the Rector of the T. Jürgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts Azamat Satybaldı, the Rector of the  Kyrgyz State University of Culture and Arts Tümenboy Koldoshov, the  Rector of the  State Institute of Art and Culture of Uzbekistan Shermanov Eldor and the Rector of the University of   Music and Fine Arts  in Ankara, Prof. Dr. Erhan Özden.

At the end of the meeting, the founding protocol of the Union was signed and the place and time for the first meeting of the  Union of Universities of Art of the Turkic World was determined. Accordingly, the Union will hold its first meeting in Uzbekistan towards the end of May.

The meeting ended with the mutual hading over of souvenirs as a remembrance of  the day.
