Cultural Days of TURKSOY ended with a concert in Ashgabat

Cultural Days, organized by TURKSOY within the framework of its 30th anniversary, ended with a concert held in Ashgabat on  June 29th, 2023.

The concert which took place at the Magtumguly Pyragy Drama Theatre featured the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan, the  State Choir of Turkmenistan and opera singers from different countries of the Turkic World.

At the beginning of the event, TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev handed over 30th Anniversary Medals of TURKSOY to  personalities who contributed to activities carried out by TURKSOY in the Turkic World such as the People's Author of Turkmenistan Guzel Sahagulyeva, the artist and winner of the Magtumguly International Prize  Jemal Saparova, the People's Artist (Sculptor) and wiseman Babayev, the  artist and wiseman Atageldy Garyagdyev and the composer Danatar Khydyrov as well as other artists who took part in the tour.

In the speech he delivered  at the opening ceremony, Secretary General Sultan Raev congratulated the medal winners and stated that there is still much to be done in the Turkic World. Secretary General Raev who also said that the cooperation among Turkic peoples will be further deepened  expressed his gratitude to the people of Turkmenistan for its appreciation and respect towards TURKSOY. 

The concert which began with the work entitled  “the Oghuz People” featured works by composers such as  Nuri Halmemedov, Veli Mukatov, Chary Nurymov, Danatar Ovezov, Tofig Kuliev, Abdylas Maldybaev, Uzeyir Hacıbeyli and Latif Hamidi.
