Cooperation protocol signed between TURKSOY and the Hacettepe University

On  October 13th, 2025, the International Organisation of Turkic Culture TURKSOY and the Hacettepe University  signed a cooperation protocol aimed at strengthening their cooperation in academic, cultural and artistic fields.

The signature ceremony was attended by TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev, the Rector of the Hacettepe University Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cahit Güran, TURKSOY Deputy Secretary General Sayit Yusuf, the Director of the Ankara State Conservatory of the Hacettepe University Prof. Dr. Metin Munzur, and other officials from both parties.

In the ceremony, it was emphasised that joint projects to be implemented by the two institutions are of great importance in terms of the preservation, promotion and transmission of the cultural heritage of the Turkic World to future generations.

Pursuant to the protocol, both parties agreed to organise joint events in the fields of science, culture and art, to increase the mutual exchange of knowledge and experience, and to develop a closer cooperation network for the Turkic World.

TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev stated that this cooperation is a valuable step towards the cultural unity of the Turkic World, adding that: ‘It is a great pleasure for us to carry out joint projects with a well-established institution such as the Hacettepe University.’

In his speech, the Rector of the Hacettepe University Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cahit Güran said, ‘This cooperation will serve as an important bridge in the field of cultural diplomacy. We will be pleased to contribute to the work carried out by TÜRKSOY in the Turkic World in academic terms.’

At the end of the signature ceremony, both parties expressed their mutual wishes for the future.
