Consultative meeting gathering officials of TURKSOY and the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic on "Petroglyphs of the Turkic World"

At the meeting held in Bishkek between the International Organisation of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) and the Institute of History, Archeology and Ethnology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, the parties exchanged views on the implementation of the project on the preparation and publication of the 6-volume book "Petroglyphs of the Turkic World" initiated by the Secretary General of the International Organisation of Turkic Culture Sultan Raev.

The  delegation of TURKSOY headed by Secretary General Sultan Raev was composed of  Lecturer Dr.  Timur B. Davletov and research expert Sabirbek Börübay, while the delegation of the National Academy of Sciences  was composed of Prof. Dr. Abylabek Asankanov, Prof. Dr. Kadicha Tashbaeva and Dr. Bakyt Amanbaev.

After the presentation of Dr Timur Davletov on the subject at the consultation meeting, "Petroglyphs of the Turkic World: Kyrgyzstan" in Kyrgyz, Turkish and English both parties agreed upon the establishment of an editorial board for its publication.

At the meeting, where it was strongly underlined that the "Petroglyphs of the Turkic World" project, which is personally followed by TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev, will give a new impetus to the worldwide promotion of the rich cultural heritage of the Turkic World  and the creation of a cultural memory, the parties agreed to hold an extended consultation meeting in Tashkent or Bishkek with the participation of other working groups on the 6-volume "Petroglyphs of the Turkic World".

The extended consultation meeting is planned to be held in April 2024.

The meeting ended upon  mutual expression of good wishes by its participants.
