Condolence message issued by Secretary General Raev on the passing of the famous Kazakh author Akim Tarazi

The decease of the legendary author of  Kazakh literature, winner of the State Prize of Kazakhstan Akim Tarazi has deeply saddened us all.

Akim Urtayuli Tarazi is a master of words who made a great contribution to the development of Kazakh prose and enlightened the minds of many generations. His Works such as “The Comet”, “Nest in the Cloud”, “Taşjargan”, “Predatory Star”  as well as his novels such as “Betrayal”, “Mustafa Şokay” are among precious treasures of the common literatüre of the Turkic World.

The author's contributions to the field of cinema and theater are also very important. Films such as “Karaş-Karaş”, “Mustafa Şokay” and theater plays such as “Poet, Angel, Love”  and “Mahambet” reflect his great talent and intellectual depth.

The rich heritage left behind by this prominent figüre and “Great Master of Literature” is the spiritual wealth of our people. His bright face and literary greatness will always live in our memories.

Sharing the deep sadness of this painful loss, I express my sincere condolences to his family, colleagues and readers I hereby express  my condolences to the Turkic World. May his soul rest in peace and his place be heaven.
