Brilliant performance of the State Theatre of Bursa at the Third Theatre Festival of TURKSOY

The State Theatre of Bursa took to the scene at the Third International Theatre Festival of TURKSOY with the play ‘The Executioner and the Storyteller’, written by Ali Cüneyd Kılcıoğlu and directed by Ipek Atagun.

Set in the winter of 1621, during a period when the Bosphorus Strait froze over, the play focuses on the tense confrontation between the Storyteller and the Executioner, whose paths cross at a lighthouse. The play featured compelling performances by Sezai Yılmaz, Erşan Utku Ölmez, Zeynep Kızıltan Şıkyıldız, and a dance ensemble, receiving strong appreciation from both the audience and the jury of the festival.

The performance which attracted attention with all its scenery including stage and lighting design as well as music, received intense interest from theatre lovers in the Turkic World.
