Book Presentation on Nobel Prize Winner Aziz Sancar in TURKSOY Headquarters
The presentation of the book ‘Seven Days with Aziz Sancar’ written by the Kyrgyz researcher and author Muhammet Ruzubay was held in the conference hall of TURKSOY Headquarters.
The event gathered TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev, the Former Minister of Industry Ali Coşkun, the MP of Erzurum Mehmet Emin Öz and the Undersecretary of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic Ulanbek Maksatov as well as researchers and art lovers.
In the opening speech he delivered at the event, Secretary General Sultan Raev expressed his gratitude to Muhammed Ruzubay for having written this book and underlined that human beings will be the first to use this rapidly developing technology. Secretary General Raev said that it is therefore essential that the people who will use this technology be raised with cultural and ethical values. Raev stated that TURKSOY, in this context, endeavours to raise future generations of the Turkic World as individuals who are loyal to their culture, customs and traditions and protect and promote the common culture and civilisation of the Turkic World. Mr. Raev further underlined that Aziz Sancar is a unique personality who can set an example for this situation.

‘Aziz Sancar is a name engraved in our memories with his Nobel Prize-winning achievements and contributions to humanity as a scientist who is proud of not only Türkiye but also the Turkic World and all humanity. This success is one of the most concrete examples of the contribution of the New Republic of Türkiye to the universal values that it has raised on the world stage.
This work, which deals with the work and life of Aziz Sancar, conveys not only the success story of a scientist, but also his humanitarian aspects, his humble and benevolent character. These qualities make him an exemplary leader not only in science but also in his contributions to humanity. Although he is known worldwide for his scientific work, the fact that he always stands out with his commitment to his society and humanity reveals once again what a great value he is.’ Raev mentioned the exemplary personality of Aziz Sancar and expressed his confidence that the Turkish World will raise many scientists like Aziz Sancar.
Greetings to the Turkic World
Former Minister of Industry Ali Coşkun, who started his speech with the words ‘Greetings to the Turkish World’, stated that Aziz Sancar, despite studying in the USA and living in the USA for many years, never broke away from his roots and said: ‘This Turkish child from the Hasi tribe of the Oghuzs first presented the awards he received to the great Turkish nation.’
Ulanbek Maksatov, Undersecretary of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic, started his speech by conveying the special thanks of Ambassador Ruslan Kazakbaev to the author of the book, Muhammed Ruzubay, and stated that it is very important for the Ambassador that Aziz Sancar has presented his Nobel Prize to the whole Turkish World and praised Aziz Sancar's exceptional and modest personality.
Erzurum Deputy Mehmet Emin Öz, who took the floor at the presentation meeting, stated that Türkiye's cultural activities towards the Turkic World were bearing fruits and that the ties of brotherhood were getting stronger day by day.

Muhammad Ruzubay, the author of the book, who took the floor at the ceremony, stated that writing is a lifestyle for him and that Aziz Sancar is a role model for both himself and the children of the Turkic World, so he decided to write this book with long labour and efforts. Ruzubay who further stated that Turkestan was once a dream for Anatolian Turks, said that now thanks to golden bridges built with the contributions of TURKSOY, distances between Türkiye and the Turkic World have become shorter and thanked his wife who contributed to the writing of the book as much as he did.
The event which went on with the handover of the Honour Medal of TURKSOY to Muhammed Ruzubay by Secretary General Sultan Raev followed by a short concert given by Mehmet Sabir Karger attracted great attention ended with a group photograph taken as a remembrance of the day.
