Awards of the 10th Documentary Film Festival of the Turkic World handed over to their winners
Awards of the 10th Documentary Film Festival of the Turkic World were handed over to their winners in the categories of feature-length, short, and student documentaries in a ceremony held at the Ankara City Council
Award-winning works of the 10th Documentary Film Festival of the Turkic World organized under the leadership of the Journalists’ Federation of the Turkic World, with the support of the Directorate General of Cinema of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye, TURKSOY, the Union of Municipalities of the Turkic World, the Turkich Cooperation and Coordination Agency TIKA, and the Presidency of Turks Abroad, are listed below:
“Challenge on The Edge of Time” wins the First Prize in the Feature Documentary Category
The first prize in the category of Feature Documentary of the festival was awarded to the documentary Challenge on The Edge of Time, directed by Ilkay Nişancı (Hakan Fıçıcı). The second prize went to Gabit Bokenbay for his film The Last Nomads, and the third prize went to Aybüke Avcı for her film Tomato Pepper Depression.
The Special Award of the Jury went to Kenan Diler for his film Under the Shadow of the Willow Tree, while the Documentary Filmmakers’ Association Best Documentary Award and the FIYAB Best Production Award went to Seyran Mahmudoghlu Badalov for his film Kür – Mother of Teas. The TRT Best Film Award also went to the film The Last Nomads.
Young Talents Stand Out in Short and Student Documentaries
In the category of Short Documentary Films, the first prize went to Zeliha Karakoca for her film Venüse Açılan Pencere (Window to Venus), the second prize went to Fatih Diren for his film Baletler Köyü (Village of Dancers), and the third prize went to Begüm Aksoy and Deya Ar for their film İsmimi Yaz (Write My Name). The Jury’s Special Award went to Jantumar Dagis for his film Mongolian Kazakh Eagle Hunters.
In the category of Student Documentary Films, Seyitbek Makeleev won the first place with his film The Flow. Guliza Abdykamilova came in second with her film Mountain Children, and Ayşenur Sülün came in third with her film Ghost Nets. The Special Award of the Jury went to Diana Rahmanova for her film Voices of the Mountains, while the Best Film Award of the Student Jury went to Yusuf Demirli for his film Halfway.

Special awards presented at the festival were:
- The Honorary Award of the Turkic World for Back To The Land – Kerem Kurtuluş
- The Special Award of TURKSOY for Vaveyle Vaveyla – Umut Mete Soydan
- The Special Award of Turkistan: Turkistan Kaygısı – Ruziboy Kuldaşev
- Special Award of the Turkic World: Ilhamın Sırrı (The Secret of Inspiration) – Nurayım Marat Kızı
