Artists of the Turkic World took the scene at ‘Türkiye Days’ of the Yunus Emre Institute in Sarajevo
TURKSOY contributed to the ‘Türkiye Days’ organised by the Yunus Emre Institute in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina with folk dance performances.
The opening ceremony of the event was held in the Municipal Park of Novi Grad with the support of TURKSOY. The event featured folk dances from Zeybek, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Turkmen, and Azerbaijani cultures, as well as Lezginka performances unique to the Northern Caucasus. The performances were accompanied by musical pieces performed by Elçin Hetemli.
The event which lasted approximately 40 minutes featured performances of the Tulpar Dance Ensemble and the Yasawi Art and Dance Ensemble. The performances were strongly appreciated by the audience.
Speaking at the event, Türkiye's Ambassador to Sarajevo, H. E. Mr. Emin Akseki, stated, ‘This event adds another dimension to the development of relations between Türkiye and Bosnia and Herzegovina. It created an environment where everyone can participate with their families and children and experience the common values of the two countries.’
TURKSOY's participation in the event contributed to the promotion of cultural values of the Turkic World in Bosnia Herzegovina as well as to the strengthening of friendly relations between peoples.
