International Tourism Fair of Issyk Kul 2022

The International Tourism Fair of Issyk Kul 2022 was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Akılbek JAPAROV in the city of Cholpon Ata in Kyrgyzstan on May 13th, 2022. The inauguration of the fair featuring stands of tour operators and craftsmen took place in the presence of high-level delegations including the Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policies Azamat JAMANKULOV, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Bishkek Ahmet Sadık DOĞAN, the Advisor for Cultural Affairs of Uzbekistan Alpaslan AKINCI, the Head of the Department of Legal, Administrative and Financial Affairs of the International Organization of Turkic Culture Sancar MÜLAZIMOĞLU, the Director General of the Cultural Agency of the Metropolitan Municipality of Bursa Fettullah BİNGÖL and the Deputy Rector of the Manas University in Turkey.

 TURKSOY participated in the event with a photography exhibition featuring Cultural Capitals of the Turkic World  and an exhibition of its publications. The fair featured a presentation on Bursa, the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World 2022 by the delegation of the Metropolitan Municipality of  Bursa along with works by craftsmen from Turkey  Mehmet ÜNAL (Silk), Aytaç ATEŞ (glass and ceramics),  Hikmet BARUTÇUGİL (marbling art) and Fahrettin BECEREN (photography).

The fair which also featured performances of Kyrgyz music  was strongly appreciated by students, the local people as well as those interested in handcrafts and tourism.

The inaugural ceremony of the International Tourism Fair of Issyk Kul 2022 ended with the handing over of certificates of appreciation to businessmen, diplomats, artists and intellectuals in recognition of their precious support regarding the development of  tourism, culture and art in Kyrgyzstan.
