The Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan rewarded activities of TURKSOY

The Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan expressed its appreciation to the International Organization of Turkic Culture  (TURKSOY) for events it carried out in commemoration of the famous Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi and rewarded its officials with the Medal of Nizami Ganjavi.

Indeed, throughout the year 2021 which it had declared as Year of Nizami Ganjavi, TURKSOY had carried out many events dedicated to the 880th anniversary of the birthday of the great poet of Azerbaijan who lived in the 12th century and entered the history of literature with his works which brought him worldwide fame.

The Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan rewarded TURKSOY  Secretary General Dusen Kasseinov, the Deputy Secretary General of TURKSOY Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bilal Çakıcı and the Representative of Azerbaijan to TURKSOY with the Medal of Nizami Ganjavi in recognition of event carried out to commemorate him in various countries around the world.

The Medals of Nizami Ganjavi were handed over to Mr. Kasseinov, Mr. Çakıcı and Mr. Gafarlı by the Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan Anar Kerimov who was in Bursa to attend the Extraordinary Meeting of the Permanent Council of the Ministers of Culture of TURKSOY Member Countries.
