The Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey Mr. Mehmet Nuri Ersoy met with the delegation of TURKSOY

A delegation of artists of the Turkic World headed by the  Secretary General of TURKSOY  Ambassador  Kasseinov paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey  Mr. Mehmet Nuri Ersoy.

In the speech he delivered on this occasion, Minister  Ersoy wished Nevruz to bring abundance and prosperity to the Turkic World.

Minister Ersoy who also stressed the importance of Nevruz celebrations held by TURKSOY further reminded of the fact that March 21st was declared International Nevruz Day by the United Nations General Assembly  and said that the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey is pleased to provide its support to all activities aiming at the promotion of the Nevruz tradition so that this traditional celebration of spring and its message of peace, brotherhoood and friendship reaches out to wider audiences. Minister Ersoy concluded his speech expressing his gratitude to artists of the Turkic World as well as to  TURKSOY and wished a happy Nevruz to everyone.

TURKSOY Secretary General Kasseinov who also said a few words at the meeting wished a happy Nevruz to Secretary General Kasseinov  and shared some information with him regarding this year's concert programme. Secretary General Kasseinov who added that TURKSOY hosts nearly 350 artists in Turkey within the framework of its Nevruz celebrations of 2022 expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey.

At the end of the meeting, Secretary General  Kasseinov and artists accompanying him during the visit handed over a traditional  "Semeni" tray of Nevruz with painted eggs, wheat, nuts and dried fruits as well as other souvenirs from the Turkic World to Minister Ersoy.
