Major gift from TURKSOY to the Saken Seyfullin Library
A ceremony was held at the Saken Seyfullin Library in the city of Taldykorgan in Kazakhstan on the occasion of the donation of publications of TURKSOY.
Nearly 100 books published by TURKSOY were donated to 15 libraries.
The ceremony gathered TURKSOY Secretary General Dusen Kasseinov, the Deputy Governor of Almaty Aslan Dandıbayev, the Director of Cultural Affairs of the Province of Almaty, the Representative of Kazakhstan to TURKSOY Mr. Bakytjan Omarov, the Director of the Saken Seyfullin Library, the Director of the National Library of Almaty, members of parliament, authors and students.
Publications offered to the Saken Seyfullin Library included books published in Kazak language by TURKSOY as well as its publications on illustrious personalities of Kazakhstan such as: “Reading Oljas Suleymenov”, “Poems by Abay”, the art album “Reading Abay”, the prestige publication on three great authors of the Kazak people Saken Seyfullin, Ilyas Jansugirov and Beyimbet Maylin “Üç Arıs”, the book on “Jambyl Jabayev”, the book of poems by Mukagali Makatayev “When the Last Cranes were Leaving”, the book of poems by Gabbas Kabyshev and the catalogue published by TURKSOY featuring paintings made by artists who participated in the Painters' Gathering of TURKSOY held in Turkistan.
The meeting ended with the handing over of souvenirs by TURKSOY Secretary General Dusen Kasseinov who gave some information about various publications issued by the organization.
