Stars of the Turkic World completed their tour with a final performance in Antalya
The tour of Stars of the Turkic World dedicated to Nizami Ganjavi and Yunus Emre by the International Organization of Turkic Culture TURKSOY in commemoration of these two illustrious authors of the Turkic World ended with a final performance held in Antalya on November 20th, 2021.
Within the framework of the tour organized in cooperation of TURKSOY with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, the Governorate of Tekirdağ, the Metropolitan Municipality of Bursa, the Thracean University, the TRT Avaz Channel, the Balkan Symphony Orchestra of the Thracean University, the Regional State Symphony Orchestra of Bursa, Bursa Kültür A.Ş. and the Sate Symphony Orchestra of Antalya with the Metropolitan Municipality of Antalya, artists of the Turkic World gave concerts from November 14th to November 20th, 2021 and took the scene in Edirne, Tekirdağ, Bursa and the Aspendos concert Hall of the Ataturk Cultural Center of Antalya. The concert which was strongly appreciated by the audience took place in the presence of TURKSOY Secretary General Dusen Kasseinov, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Ankara H. E. Kubanychbek Omuraliyev and the Deputy Secretary General of the Metropolitan Municipality of Antalya Durmuş Ali Aslan along with representatives of various institutions and organizations.
In the opening speech he delivered at the concert featuring popular artists of the Turkic World TURKSOY Secretary General Kasseinov reminded of the fact that the year 2021 was declared as Year of Yunus Emre and Turkish Language by the President of the Republic of Turkey.
Secretary General Kasseinov who also said that TURKSOY decided to commemorate the great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi throughout the year 2021 further stressed that "within this framework, the precious legacy of these two illustrious personalities of the Turkic World has been introduced to large audiences throughout the year with various artistic events. With exhibitions we also held on this occasion in various places of the world ranging from Africa to the Balkans, we have introduced the philosophy of Yunus Emre and Nezami Ganjavi to peoples of the world.”
The concerts held with the contribution of nearly 200 artists from 5 countries of the Turkic World featured premiere performances of composers of the Turkic World dedicated to the Year of Yunus Emre and Turkish Language declared by the President of the Republic of Turkey in commemoration of the 700th anniversary of the passing away of Yunus Emre who contributed to the expansion of Turkish language in Anatolia with his poems written in a clear and limpid style. At the concerts, the audience had the opportunity to listen to new compositions inspired by poems of the famous poet of Anatolia Yunus Emre and featuring patterns and melodies of various regions of the Turkic World. The concert also featured popular works of music written by famous composers of the Turkic World and inspired by poems of Nizami Ganjavi, the famous poet of Azerbaijan who entered history with his “Hamsa”, on the occasion of the Year of Nizami declared by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in commemoration of the 880th anniversary of his birthday.
Within the framework of the tour famous artists from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Turkey were accompanied by three different orchestras. While the concert in Edirne and Tekirdağ featured the Balkan Symphony Orchestra of the Thracean University, the concert in Bursa took place with the contribution of the Regional State Symphony Orchestra of Bursa and the concert in Antalya took place with the contribution of the State Symphony Orchestra of Antalya with Maestro Alibek Kabdurahmanov from Uzbekistan, and Prof. Ahmet Hamdi Zafer and Maestro Eray Inal from Turkey.
Soloists who took the scene at the concerts and were strongly appreciated by the audience were Ilham Nazarov (Countertenor, Azerbaijan), Hosrov Hakan Amiri (Tenor, Azerbaijan) Nazım Sagıntay (Soprano, Kazakhstan), Tair Tajigulov (Bass, Kazakhstan), Aybek Saralaev (Tenor, Kyrgyzstan), Ayzirek Momunova (Soprano, Kyrgyzstan), Nosir Yusupov (Barytone, Uzbekistan), Nilgün Kızılcı (lyrical artist, Turkey), Chynara Heydarova (Qanun, Azerbaijan), Akerke Tajibayeva (Kyl Kobyz, Kazakhstan), Saliya Emilbekova (Komuz, Kyrgyzstan), Bekzod Turaev (Nay, Uzbekistan) and Suleyman Yardım (Ney, Turkey.
The concert held in Bursa, the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World 2022 declared as such by the Permanent Council of TURKSOY was broadcasted live by the TRT Avaz channel.
