Celebrations of the 30th anniversary of the Independence of Turkic Republics ended with a concert in Craiova

Celebrations of the 30th anniversary of the Independence of Turkic Republics in Romania ended with a concert featuring "Melodies of the Turkic World" along with photography exhibitions in Craiova.

Events carried out upon initiative of TURKSOY and the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to  Romania H. E. Nurbah Rustemov started with a roundtable meeting on the 30th Anniversary of the Independence of Kazakhstan.

The meeting hosted by Ambassador  Rustemov gathered the MP from   Romania Yulian Badya, the Deputy Chairman of the Regional Council Mihay Netsu, the Chairman of the Mihay Eminesku International Academy  Prof. Dr. Ion Diaconescu, and  Prof. Dr. Cristi Spulbar from the Craiova University along with Cristi Berceanu and representatives of other local organizations.

The event featured two  photography exhibitions held in cooperation of TURKSOY with the Embassy of Kazakhstan  and entitled “The 30th Anniversary of the Indpendence of Kazakhstan” and "Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan on the 30th Anniversary of their Independence”.

Celebrations of the 30th Anniversary of the Independence of Turkic Republics  ended with a concert featuring "Melodies of the Turkic World" performed by artists from  Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and Turkmenistan.

Within the framework of celebration events, citizens of Craiova had the opportunity to get acquainted with the beautiful landscapes, ancient architectural monuments and ancestral traditions of Turkic republics transmitted from one generations to the next for centuries as well as their culinary specialties and traditional customs while also discovering traditional melodies of Turkic peoples performed with instruments such as the tar, dombra, komuz and baglama.
