Painting exhibition "My Turkistan-My Turan" inaugurated in Kazakhstan

A painting exhibition featuring paintings by artists of the Turkic World who participated in the symposium "My Turkistan-My Turan" was inaugurated in Turkistan in cooperation of TURKSOY with the Governorate of Turkistan.

The exhibition held on May 28th, 2021 in order to foster cultural ties of friendship and cooperation among Turkic speaking peoples, transmit Turkic culture and art from one generation to the next, promote works by famous painters of the Turkic World, foster exchange of information and experience among artists and introduce Turkistan to the world through the universal language of art was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In the speech he delivered at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, TURKSOY Secretary General Dusen Kasseinov said that the city of Turkistan which was declared Cultural Capital of the Turkic World in 2017  and hosted many cultural, artistic and academic events has turned into a meeting point of the Turkic World and that it was declared Spiritual Capital of the Turkic World at the Unofficial Summit of the Turkic Council held in Turkistan, hence further standing for this title by carrying out events and activities which bring together and strenghten solidarity and unity among Turkic peoples. Secretary General Kasseinov who added that every year, TURKSOY brings together painters of the Turkic World in its traditional Painters' Gathering, hence contributing to the enrichment of the art of painting in the Turkic World with many new works resulting therefrom  further said that paintings made by artists who were invited to take part in the painters' symposium "My Turkistan-My Turan" will be a strong contribution to the promotion of Turkistan through the universal language of art.

At the event, the painter and People's Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic Yuristanbek Shygayev who took the floor on behalf of  painters from paricipating countries and the Deputy Chairman of the  Academy of Fine Arts, Professor Erlan Aytuarov who took the floor on behalf of painters from Kazakhstan stressed the importance of the exhibition.

At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Secretary General Kasseinov handed over certificates of appreciation and plaquettes to Celal Ağayev (Azerbaijan),Yuristanbek Shigayev (Kyrgyzstan), Zamira Şahin (Turkey), Dilorom Mamedova (Uzbekistan), Ilnur Siraziyev (Tatarstan, RF), Geymran Baymuhanov (RF),  Erlan Aytuarov, Ozerbay Shoranov, Seysenhan Mahanbetov, Alpıspay Kazıgulov, Murat Kalkabayev, Janizak Musapir, Aynabek Ospanov, Bakıtnur Burdesbekov, Kayır Orazgaliyev, Adilgali Bayandin, Jenis Kakenulı, Kamila Japalova, Tolkın Tabısbek, Dinara Nüger, Kudash Hursadıkov, Erzat Bolathan, Jantepe Baydauletov, Janarbek Beristen, Hurlan Shilibayev, Marat Gabdrahmanov, Azamat Nazarkul and Murat Shahanbayev’e (Kazakhstan) who participated in the symposium.

Within 5 days, painters who came together in the symposium to depict Turkistan made more than 120 wonderful paintings.
