Condolence message of TURKSOY Secretary General Dusen Kasseinov as to the passing away of the historian Prof. Dr. Nadir Devlet

It is with deep sorrow tha I have been informed about the passing away of Prof. Dr. Nadir Devlet from the Istanbul Aydin University who was  one of the important scholars of the Turkic World in the field of history.  I am deeply saddened by the loss of a very precious scholar of ours and I hereby express my most sincere condolences to the grieving family and beloved ones of Prof. Dr. Nadir Devlet as well as to the Turkic World. 

Mr. Nadir Devlet was not only a friend of the Turkic World but also carried out extensive research on the history, current status, political, social, cultural and economic structure of Turkic peoples. Besides, he also conquered our hearts with precious contributions he made to events carried out by TURKSOY. Hence, the Turkic World and its community of scholars is extremely saddened by is passing away. With more than thirty books and more than 200 articles he wrote, Prof. Dr. Nadir Devlet has left a considerable heritage behind. He will always remain an example to follow for future generations and he will forever be commemorated with great respect.

On behalf of TURKSOY and myself, I hereby once again express our sorrow for the loss of a  distinguished historian and convey my most sincere condolences to the family and beloved ones of Prof. Dr. Nadir Devlet. May his soul rest in peace.
