Visit of the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Ankara H. E. Adis Alagich to TURKSOY

The Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Ankara H. E. Adis Alagich paid an official visit to TURKSOY Secretary General Dusen Kasseinov.

In the meeting, Secretary General Kasseinov gave Ambassador Alagich some information on activities carried out by TURKSOY more particularly in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Secretary General Kasseinov who also added that  Bosnia and Herzegovina hosted events carried out by TURKSOY with the contribution of artists from Bosnia and Herzegovina amongst many others  to promote the culture and art of the Turkic World on a global scale.

Secretary General Kasseinov who also stressed that artists from TURKSOY were highly appreciated with their various artistic performances at the International Winter Festival of Sarajevo  and the Summer Festival of  Mostar added that the scope of the cooperation between TURKSOY and Bosnia and Herzegovina is getting wider every year.

Ambassador Kasseinov further touched upon the celebrations of the 175th anniversary of the birthday of the Kazak scholar Abay Kunanbayev and the 250th anniversary of the birthday of the world famous composer Ludwig van Beethoven  at the 36th Winter Festival of Sarajevo  and stressed that artists from operas of the Turkic World performed works by  Kunanbayev together with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Sarajevo.   

Ambassador Alagich who said that he had already been following up activities of TURKSOY within the framework of his previous missions expressed his appreciation as to the close cooperation between  TURKSOY and Bosnia and Herzegovina and thanked Secretary General  Kasseinov for his actvities aiming at the promotion of the culture and art of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Ambassador Alagich who also said that Bosnia and Herzegovina wishes to further foster its cooperation with TURKSOY added that he will always be ready to do whatever it takes to contribute to the develoment of this mutual cooperation.

In the meeting, Secretary General Kasseinov handed over to Ambassador Alagich the art album of TURKSOY which it published on the occasion of the 175th anniversary of the birthday of the famous Kazak intellectual Abay Kunanbayev in 2020, the Year of Abay Kunanbayev, featuring maxims of Abay illustrated with paintings of artists of the Turkic World inspired thereby along with other publications  of  TURKSOY.
