Celebration of the Independence of Turkmenistan

On the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan, TURKSOY Secretary General Dusen KASSEINOV sent a congratulation letter to the President of Turkmenistan Gurbangulu Berdimuhamedov.

In his letter, Secretary General Kasseinov wrote:  'Distinguished President, on behalf of the International Organization of Turkic Culture  (TURKSOY) and myself, I congratulate Your Excellency and our kindred people of Turkmenistan on the occasion of the Anniversary of the Independence of Turkmenistan halkını. As a country which honours its history and culture, Turkmenistan has always been strongly committed to its unity and solidarity. With its constant efforts and commitment, Turkmenistan has made great progress  in political, economic and cultural termes, thus reaching the level of contemporary civilizations. Let me stress that the Secretariat General of TURKSOY will be happy to contribute to this precious development of  Turkmenistan and meke the efforts necessary to foster cultural integration among Turkic peoples and introduce their culture to the world. I do sincerely share the joy of the 29th Anniversary of the Independence of the people of Turkmenistan and wish for the people of Turkmenistan to live in peace and prosperity forever. Yours respectfully.'' 

Turkmenistan had declared its independence on September 27th, 1991.
