Visit to the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality of Balıkesir Mr. Yücel Yılmaz

TURKSOY Secretary General Dusen Kasseinov paid a visit to the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality of Balıkesir Mr. Yücel Yılmaz in his office.

In the meeting, both parties discussed actitivities of TURKSOY previously carried out in Balıkesir and exchanged view on areas of joint cooperation for the future. At the end of the meeting, Secretary General Kasseinov offered to the Mayor Yilmaz the book on Abai published by TURKSOY  within the framework of the commemorative year 2020 dedicated to this illustrious personality of the Turkic World. 

In the statement he made, the Mayor of Balikesir  expressed his happiness to be welcoming the delegation of TURKSOY in  Balıkesir and said: ''Balıkesir has a stunningly rich cultural heritage which might surprise you with every step you take in ths city. Hence, we are working for the worldwide promotion of  our city and its rich cultural heritage. In this respect, we are open to any kind of cooperation with organizations such as TURKSOY. It will be a pleasure for us to host worldwide events of TURKSOY.''
