10th Anniversary of the Yunus Emre Institute joyfully celebrated in Bosnia Herzegovina

The next stop of the tour featuring Melodies of the Turkic World and organized in cooperation of TURKSOY with the Yunus Emre Institute  to celebrate the 28th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the 10th anniversary of the Yunus Emre Institute  was the city of Tuzla in  Bosnia Herzegovina.

The event which took place in the Caleidoscope Cultural Center of Tuzla on December 12th, 2019  gathered the Director of the Yunus Enre Institute of  Sarajevo Mehmet Akif Yaman, the Director of  the TRT in Bosnia Herzegovina Bekim Muhtarpaşazade and the Press Advisor of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Sarajevo Ömer Çetres along with representatives of various institutions and organizations in  Bosnia Herzegovina as well as Bosnian amateurs of art.

In the opening speech he delivered, the Director of the Yunus Enre Institute of  Sarajevo Mehmet Akif Yaman stressed that the Yunus Emre Institute which celebrates the 10th anniversary of its establishment this year  is more and more present around the world with its activities and will further pursue its efforts to promote Turkic culture in the Balkans in close  cooperation with the International Organization of Turkic Culture  TURKSOY.

Mr.Yaman who added that these two organizations which  are strongly committed to the preservation and promotion of  our rich common cultural heritage  are now adding yet another  colourful contribution to the achievement of this aim with the tour  featuring Melodies of the Turkic World performed by artists from various countries of the Turkic World including Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.

The opening speech of the event was followed by a colouful concert in which artists  took the audience of Bosnian amateurs of art in the Caleidoscope Cultural Center onto an unforgettable journey through the fabulous mazes of music of the Turkic World.

While the audience accompanied the artists and sang with them throughout the concert,  the artists gave an encore performance of the song “Anayurdum” upon request of the audience which joyfully applauded.

At the end of the concert featuring Melodies of the Turkic World, Bosnian spectators posed with the artists to have their photograph taken together as a remembrance of the day.
