Young talents of the Turkic World in Turkistan for the first time
The tour of the Youth Chamber Orchestra of TURKSOY is about to start. Within the framework of this tour, young talents of the Turkic World will give seven concerts in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan between August 27th-September 9th, 2019. The orchestra which will take the scene with a whole new repertoire during this tour will give its first concert in the city of Turkistan in Kazakhstan.
This year’s tour of the Youth Chamber Orchestra of TURKSOY composed of young talents selected among conservatory students of the Turkic World is dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Turkic Council.
After 10 days of rehearsal, the Youth Chamber Orchestra of TURKSOY will give its first concert of the tour organized in cooperation of the Governorate of Turkistan with the Municipality of Turkistan, the International Turkish-Kazak University named after Khoja Akhmet Yassawi and TURKSOY in the afore-mentioned university in Turkistan on August 27th, 2019. This first concert of the tour will be followed by performances in Shymkent (Kazakhstan), Taraz (Kazakhstan), Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan), Almaty (Kazakhstan) and Baku (Azerbaijan).
The orchestra which has been composed of nearly 100 artists from 10 countries in all concerts it has given since its establishment will take the scene under Maestro Renat Salavatov from Tatarstan (RF), Maestro Anvar Akbarov from Kazakhstan and Maestro Mustafa Mehmandarov from Azerbaijan.
Young talents of the orchestra which has taken the scene with world famous artists in tours it has went on since its establishment will once again take their audience onto an unforgettable journey through melodies of the Turkic World.

In a statement he delivered prior to the tour, TURKSOY Secretary General Prof. Dusen KASSEINOV stressed that this is the first time the Youth Chamber Orchestra of TURKSOY is going on tour in Central Asia and added: "Since its establiehment, our orchestra has given concerts in many countries around the world but this is the first time it will take the scene in a tour of this scale in countries of the Turkic World."
Prof. Kasseinov who also said that the Youth Chamber Orchestra of TURKSOY gathers young talents from various countries of the Turkic World under its auspices further added: "These young talents whom we have selected among conservatory students of our member countries give concerts throughout the world. They are a great source of pride for us. Indeed, with their brilliant performances, they introduce our composers who are an essential component of our cultural heritage to the world. Our artists have recorded 3 wonderful albums in a short period of time and this year, we have invited them for a tour in the Turkic World featuring concerts in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. These concerts will be dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Turkic Council which we share the same principles and goals with. Our orchestra is the result of our joint commitment to a cooperation based on historical and cultural values. All amateurs of art are welcome to attend concerts of our orchestra.”
The Youth Chamber Orchestra of TURKSOY
The Youth Chamber Orchestra of TURKSOY composed of talented conservatory students of TURKSOY member countries was established in 2010. Since its establishment upon initiative of TURKSOY Secretary General Dusen Kasseinov, the orchestra has given nearly 60 concerts in various cities of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Austria, the United States of America, Germany, Albania, Bosnia Herzegovina, France, England, Scotland, Italy, Kosovo, Montenegro, Macedonia, Slovakia and Serbia.
With concerts it gave on various continents of the world, the Youth Chamber Orchestra of TURKSOY has successfully introduced melodies of the Turkic World to audiences worldwide.
The Youth Chamber Orchestra of TURKSOY had given its firs concert in Ankara and Istanbul, the European Capital of Culture in 2010. The orchestra then recorded its first album dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the independence of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan in 2011 in the Concert Hall of the Presidential Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Turkey. In 2012, the orchestra then gave concerts in America, Europe and various Eurasian countries along with the United States of America where it performed together with the Symphony Orchestra of TURKSOY in New York and Washington DC within the framework of a Project featuring Yunus Emre Oratorio by the famous Turkish composer Adnan Saygun.
In 2013, the orchestra came together once again and went on tour in Turkey with a fully new repertoire and recorded its second album dedicated to the 20th anniversary of TURKSOY.
In 2017, the orchestra recorded its third albüm dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the independence of Turkic republics. In 2017 and 2018, the Youth Chamber Orchestra of TURKSOY then went on a tour featuring 10 concerts in Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Bosnia Herzegovina and Serbia.
The orchestra which gave a historical concert in the Headquarters of UNESCO in Paris, the capital of France on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of TURKSOY also took the scene in the Musikverein in Vienna (Austria) which is one of the most famous venues of classical music performances in the world and in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia.
