Concert of the Tattimbet Orchestra of Traditional Instruments from Kazakhstan in Constanta
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Yunus Emre Institute, the Tattimbet Orchestra of Traditional Instruments from Kazakhstan has given its first concert in Romania.
The concert organized in cooperation of TURKSOY with the Yunus Emre Institute, the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Bucharest, the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Romania, the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Romania, the Embassy of the Republic of Turkmenistan, Anadolu Automobil Rom, the Democratic Union of Muslim Tatar Turks, the Democratic Union of Turks in Romania and Radyo T gathered nearly 700 spectators.
The event held on July 30th, 2019 at the Multıfunctional Youth Education Center named after Jean Constantin featured Gulmira Tapay and Daurenbek Arkenov from Kazakhstan along with Sahib Pashazade (Tar) from Azerbaijan, Dinara Tilekeeva (Komuz) from Kyrgyzstan and Ahmet Baran (Qanun) from Turkey as soloists.
In the concert featuring artists from TURKSOY member countries and introducing works by various countries to the audience, the Akku Dance Ensemble enchanted the audience with its colourful performance.
The Tattimbet Orchestra of Traditional Instruments which performed traditional works along with modern compositions on traditional instruments of the Turkic World such as the dombra, kopuz, tar and qanun was strongly appreciated by the audience. The concert which lasted approximately one hour took the audience onto an unforgettable journey to melodies of the Turkic World. At the end of the concert, the audience gave standing ovations to the artists to share their strong appreciation.

The Deputy Director of the Yunus Emre Institute of Constanta Seher Korucu who delivered a speech at the opening of the concert expressed her happiness to be celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Yunus Emre Institute together with TURKSOY and added: "Since its establishment, the Yunus Emre Institute has been carrying out activities to introduce Turkey and its cultural heritage to the world with 58 cultural centers focusing on events in the fields of culture, art, sports, literature, music, gastronomy, cinema and Turkish language course in 48 countries. Today, we have come together here to share the joy of this celebration dedicated to 10 years of joint enthusiasm. The Yunus Emre Institute of Bucharest and Constanta strongly appreciate the support and cooperatiopn of the Romanian people regarding our efforts to unveil the common cultural values of our respective countries. It is an honour for us to be together with a distinguished audience on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of our Institute.’’
The tour will go on in Bucharest and Vaslui
The tour of the Tattimbet Orchestra of Traditional Instruments which started with a concert in Istanbul on July 28th will go on in the cities of Bucharest and Vaslui in Romania. Following its concert dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Yunus Emre Institute in Bucharest the orchestra will take the scene in Vaslui where it will perform within the framework of the International Folklore Festival. The Orchestra which is named after the famous Kazak composer, dombra player and kuy artist Tattimbet Kazangapuly performs under the Honoured Artist of Kazakhstan Dusen Ukibay. The orchestra also features famous artists such as Talgat Idrisov, Erjigit Ospanhanov, Sercan Musayın, Nurbol Temirgaliyev and Kamshat Nasyrova.
