Cooperation Protocol signed between TURKSOY and TRT

As an international organization which has been carrying out activities for a quarter of a century to preserve, foster, promote and transmit the traditions, customs, culture, art, literature and cultural heritage of Turkic peoples from Altai mountains to the Balkans to future generations, TURKSOY has signed a cooperation agreement with the Turkish Radio and Television institution TRT which has been broadcasting colourful programmes since its establishment in 1964. Thanks to the cooperation agreement, activities of TURKSOY will reach out to large audiencesin Turkey and abroad. With this protocol, the cooperation between TURKSOY and TRT has been institutionalized and brought up to a new, higher level.

In the ceremony which took place in the General Directorate of the TRT, the cooperation protocol between TURKSOY and the coordination department of the TRT AVAZ channel was wigned by the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director General of TRT Ibrahim Eren and TURKSOY Secretary General Ambassador Dusen Kasseinov.

Mr. Eren who said a few words on this occasion extended his gratitude to TURKSOY for its support to TRT Avaz and expressed his happiness to be signing this protocol. Mr. Eren further added that the mutual cooperation between TURKSOY anf TRT will futrther continue and that the TRT channel will support activities carried out by TURKSOY.

Ambassador Kasseinov who extended his gratitude to Mr. Eren on behalf of artists, authors, scholars and intellectuaşs of TURKSOY member countries stressed that the support provided to activities of TURKSOY by the TRT channel is known to the entire world and not only to the Turkic World. Mr. Kasseinov further stressed that with the signature of this protocol, the cooperation between TURKSOY and the TRT Channel reaches a higher level and will bring about ever more successful results in the future.

Following the signature ceremony, Mr. Ibrahim Eren extended some souvenirs to Ambassador Kasseinov including accessories used in the famous series TRT "Diriliş Ertuğrul" and Mr. Kasseinov offered the art album entitled "Reading Aitmatov" published by TURKSOY on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the birthday of the world famous Kyrgyz author Chingis Aitmatov.
