Wonderful concert of the Uygur State Academic Music and Dance Ensemble in Keçiören
The Uygur State Academic Music and Dance Ensemble of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan named after Kuddus Kujamyarov gave a wonderful concert in Keçiören.
The concert dedicated to the 25th anniversary of TURKSOY and the 100th anniversary of the birthday of the famous Uygur composer Kuddus Kujamyarov was hosted by the Mayor of Keçiören Mustafa Ak and gathered TURKSOY Secretary General Dusen Kasseinov, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Ankara H. E. Abzal Saparbekuly, the District Governorof Keçiören Uğur Bulut and the MP of the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia (Moldova ) Ivana Köksal along with representatives of local institutions and organizations as well as many amateurs of music on October 31st, 2018.
In the opening speech he delivered at the concert, TURKSOY Secretary General Kasseinov stressed that as an ensemble which will celebrate its 85th anniversary next year the Uygur State Academic Music and Dance Ensemble is an important ensemble of the Uygur people which successfully promotes and preserves its culture, traditions, history and language. Ambassador Kasseinov further expressed his happiness to be introducing this famous ensemble of the Uygur people to citizens of Keçiören with this event which is yet another contribution to activities carried out by TURKSOY to explore, promote and preserve the culture and art of Turkic peoples while the organization celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.
Mr. Kasseinov who also reminded of the fact that the ensemble is named after Kuddus Kujamyarov who is one of the composers of Uygur folk music said that with his talented compositions, Kujamyarov has skillfully combined Uygur folk melodies with special techniques to make it a unique music of its kind.
TURKSOY Secretary General Ambassador Kasseinov who greeted the Uygur State Academic Music and Dance Ensemble in the Conference Hall of TURKSOY further expressed his happiness to introduce this ensemble gathering talented Uygur musicians to the world and said that Turkic peoples have ever since been committed to the preservation of their culture, art and traditions.
The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Ankara H. E. Saparbekuly who also delivered a speech said that this ensemble is named after a great composer, namely Kuddus Kujamyarov who is one of the key personalities of the Uygur people and of Kazakhstan. Ambassador Saparbekuly further added that the Uygur State Academic Music and Dance Ensemble named after Kuddus Kujamyarov is pursuing its activities under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and stressed that this kind of events do not only play a key role in the promotion of peoples’ cultural heritage but also contribute to the strengthening of ties among Turkic peoples.
The Mayor of Keçiören Mr. Mustafa Ak who also delivered a speech at the event said that this concert dedicated ton the 100th anniversary of the birthday of Kuddus Kujamyarov plays a key role in the strengthening of ties between Turkey and Kazakhstan and added that the municipality of Keçiören is regularly carrying out high-level cooperation activities with the Turkic World and that such events contribute to the further strengthening of ties of brotherhood with Kazakhstan. Mr. Ak who expressed his happiness as to joint cooperation messages of the Presidents of Turkey and Kazakhstan emphasizing their common historical and spiritual heritage added that as a local government, the municipality of Keçiören is willing to further contribute to economic and cultural ties which are growing stronger day by day between Turkey and Kazakhstan.
The Director of the State Academic Music and Dance Ensemble named after Kuddus Kujamyarov Mr. Murat Ahmediyev extended his gratitude to TURKSOY and the Municipality of Keçiören for their contribution to the promotion of the rich cultural and artistic heritage of the Uygur people in Turkey.
The speeches were followed by a wonderful concert featuring the Uygur State Academic Music and Dance Ensemble and its musicians who gave a colourful performance of Turkic folk music and dances and introduced typical Uygur melodies and dances to the audience in the Art and Performence Center of Keçiören named after Neşet Ertaş. The concert raised great enthusiasm and was strongly appreciated by the spectators who clapped or danced to accompany the artists.
The concert which left undelible traces in the memories of the audience in Keçiören ended with a ceremony during which protocol members were handed over plaquettes and a group photograph was taken as a remembrance of the day.
