Concert featuring the State Academic Philharmony Choir of Astana in Bilkent
The State Academic Philharmony Choir of Astana established in 2004 gathers 38 talented artists aged between 18 and 30. The Art Director and Permanent Conductor of the choir which won two gold medals at the World Choir Games is Mrs. Gulmira Kuttybadamova. Mrs. Gulmira Kuttybadamova is a lecturer at the Kazak State University, Honored Cultural Worker and owner of the Excellency in Education Award as well as of the State Scholarship.
The concert organized in cooperation with TURKSOY will feature works of the classical repertoire as well as folk songs arrangements. The concert which will take place in the Concert Hall in Bilkent on June 25th, 2018 will start at 08.00 p.m..
The State Academic Philharmony Choir of Astana will also give a concert together with the Bilkent Symphony Orchestra on June 23rd, 2018, performing Carl Orff's Carmina Burana. The concert will take place in Bilkent Odeon at 09.00 p.m.
