Commemoration of the Kazak Poet Jumabayev in Kyrgyzstan

The famous Kazak poet Magjan Jumabayev was commemorated in an event organized in cooperation of  TURKSOY with the Ishenaly Arabayev State University in Kyrgyzstan. The event was held within the framework of the year 2018 dedicated to the commemoration of Magjan Jumabayev by TURKSOY and gathered scholars and artists from various countries of the Turkic World.

The opening speeches of the event were delivered by the Rector of the  Ishenaly Arabayev State University of Kyrgyzstan  Prof. Dr. Tolobek Abdyrahmanov, TURKSOY Deputy Secretary General Secretary General  Pof. Dr. Fırat Purtaş and the Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Bishkek  Rymtai Karibjanov.

The event featured a film on the life and work of Magjan Jumabayev and a panel which took place with the contribution of distinguished scholars of the Turkic World.

In the panel, the Deputy Chairman of the Authors' Union of Kazakhstan  Bauyrjan Jakyp,  Prof. Dr. Hulya Kasapoglu Cengel from the Gazi University in Turkey, Nazira Kurbanova and Jumagul Baydildayev from the Ishenaly Arabayev State University of Kyrgyzstan, Mrs.  Guljahan Orda, the Chairman of the Department of Literature and Art of the State Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, Mr. Abdilamit Matisakov from the Yusuf Balasagun State University of Kyrgyzstan, the author  Abdilamit Matisakov and  the Representative of Kazakhstan to TURKSOY Assoc. Prof. Dr. Askar Turganbayev along with the Kyrgyz authors and poets  Mamat Bolot and Nurlan Kalybekov presented their papers.

The event went on with artistic performances by  Saulecan Tagziya, Cannur Musulmanbek and Caydar Shonan from Kazakhstan, Umutay Abdysheva Nurlan Abdyraimov and the AGAT dance ensemble from Kyrgyzstan which were extremely appreciated by the audience.

At the end of the event, TURKSOY Deputy Secretary General  Prof. Dr. Fırat Purtaş handed over presents dedicated to the 25th anniversary of TURKSOY the Rector of the  Ishenaly Arabayev State University of Kyrgyzstan  Prof. Dr. Tolobek Abdyrahmanov and the Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Bishkek  Rymtai Karibjanov.
