"Apocalypse" the theater adaptation of Chingis Aitmatov's novel was performed in Kastamonu, the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World 2018.

The event took place in the presence of the Governor of Kastamonu  Yaşar Karadeniz, the Mayor of Kastamonu Tahsin Babaş, TURKSOY Deputy Secretary General Fırat Purtaş, the Director of the Anatolian School Sami Güçlü and the Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan and son of Chingis Aitmatov,  Askar Aytmatov along with  the Member of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic and Director of the  Chingis Aitmatov Institute Prof. Dr. Abdyldajan Akhmataliev as well as many scholars, authors and students.

The event was organized by TURKSOY in cooperation with the Anatolian School and the Governorate and the Municipality of Kastamonu within the framework of events dedicated to the commemoration of the Wiseman of the Steppe Chingis Aitmatov.
