Visit of the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to TURKSOY

The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Ankara  H. E. Isankuli Amanlyev visited the Headquarters of the International Organization of Turkic Culture.

During the visit, Ambassador Amanlyev and Prof. Dusen Kasseinov came together in a meeting.

Issues discussed in the meeting concerned cultural activities to be carried out byu TURKSOY in Turkmenistan. Prof. Kasseinov and Ambassador  Amanlyev exchanged views on Nevruz celebrations to be held this year as well as on the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World  and on the participation of artists and representatives from Turkmenistan in other events and activities of TURKSOY. Both parties also discussed various aspects pertaining to joint projects to be carried out in the future as well as on TURKSOY's contribution to celebrations of national holidays.

Prof. Kasseinov stressed that the support and contribution to be provided by the Embassy of Turkmenistan concerning the preparation of a Cultural Heritage Inventory of the Turkic World will be strongly appreciated in terms of the recording thereof.

In the meeting, both parties agreed upon the fact that ties between TURKSOY and Turkmenistan shall be further developed with a view to increasing the number of projects carried out in joint cooperation of TURKSOY with Turkmenistan.
