Wonderful Concert of the Turkic World Music Ensemble in Kırcaali
TURKSOY's Turkic World Music Ensemble gave an unforgettable concert in Kırcaali
The Turkic World Music Ensemble of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) gave an unforgettable concert in Kırcaali. The concert hosted by the Omer Lutfi Culture Association gathered the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Plovdiv Huseyin Ergani, the Vice Consul of the Republic of Turkey in Plovdiv Volkan Bozkurt Tanyıldız, the Deputy Mayor of Kırcaali and HÖH İlçe Başkanı Mümün Ali, the Project Coordinator of TURKSOY for the Balkans Fatih Aliyi and representatives of NGOs along with artists and intellectuals. The concert featuring typical melodies of Turkic peoples performed by the Turkic World Music Ensemble of TURKSOY was strongly appreciated by the audience in Kırcaalili.
In the speech he delivered prior to the concert, the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Plovdiv Huseyin Ergani said: “Dear citizens of Kırcaali, yesterday, we have celebrated the anniversary of the establishment of the Republic of Turkey with a reception in Plovdiv. On the occasion of this joyful celebration we have held a colourful exhibition of TURKSOY featuring "Paintings of the Turkic World From Altai Mountains to the Balkans''. This exhibition was highlighted by a concert of the Turkic World Music Ensemble of TURKSOY. Of course, we thought, why not bring this ensemble to Kırcaali too. So we met with the director of the association and this is how we decided to organize this wonderful concert for you today. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Omer Lutfi Culture Association for hosting this event giving us the opportunity to listen to four talented artists from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan and Turkey. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.”
The Director of the Omer Lutfi Culture Association Muzekki Ahmet expressed his happiness to welcome the Turkic World Music Ensemble of TURKSOY and host its concert in Kırcaali.
The concert featured performances of the baglama player from Turkey Eren Can Yıldız, the tar player from Azerbaijan Yusuf Altun, the dombra player from Kazakhstan Yerzhan Arkabayev and the qobuz player fro Kyrgyzstan Gulira Kasymkuova.
During the concert, artists who sang famous folk songs such as "Sarı Gelin", "Göçmen Kızı", "Üsküdar'a Giderken" and "Arda Boyları" were accompanied by the audience clapping to the rythm.
At the end of the concert, artists called the Vice Consul of the Republic of Turkey in Plovdiv Volkan Bozkurt Tanyıldız who took the scene and sang the folk song of Azerbaijan “Bilirsen Mi Sennen Niye Küsmüşem”.
The concert ended with a group photograph together with all artists.
