The Municipal Theater of Baku performed in Adana

The Third Gathering of Municipal Theaters held between October 17th-30th, 2016  took place with the contribution of the Municipal Theater of Baku  which was invited to the event by TURKSOY. The Municipal Theater of Baku dedicated its performance of Friedrich Schiller’s “Intrigue and Love” in Adana on October 18th, 2016 to the 25th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Prior to the performance, the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality of  Adana  Hüseyin Sözlü met with the Representative of Azerbaijan to TURKSOY Elçin Gafarlı  and the Director of the Municipal Theater of Baku  Prof. Amaliya Panahova as well as her team.  

During the meeting, the Director of the Municipal Theater of Baku  Prof. Amaliya Panahova expressed her happiness to  be taking part in the Festival of  Adana and said:  ‘’We are staff members of the  first Municipal Theater established before the independence of  Azerbaijan and we are very happy to perform in Turkey as a result of the cooperation between TURKSOY and the Metropolitan Municipality of  Adana. It is really a great feeling to see that the mutual cooperation between our repsective countries is growing stronger every year. I would therefore like to extend  my gratitude to the organizers for their contribution to the realization of this event."
