The famous Tatar author and philosopher Kayyum Nasiri commemorated in TURKSOY Headquarters
On May 15th, 2015 a Symposium on the famous Tatar author and Philosopher Kayyum Nasiri (1825-1902) was held in TURKSOY Headquarters in commemoration of the 190th anniversary of his birthday. The symposium gathered scholars and students of the Kazan Federal University, the Istanbul University, the Mimar Sinan University, the Bilkent University, the Gazi University and the Sütçü İmam University of Kahramanmaraş.
The opening speeches of the symposium were delivered by TURKSOY Deputy Secretary General Prof. Dr. Fırat Purtaş and the Representative of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan (R.F.) to TURKSOY Liliya Sattarova. The symposium took place in two sessions the first of which was chaired by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kalpaklı . Scholars contributing to the first session were;
