Paintings by artists of the Turkic World were exhibited in Shymkent

Paintings resulting from the 20th Painters' Gathering of TURKSOY which brought together painters of the Turkic World were displayed in an exhibition in Shymkent.

The 20th Painters' Gathering of TURKSOY held within the framework of events to celebrate Turkistan, the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World 2017  was dedicated to the article by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev entitled "The Course towards the Future: Modernization of Public Conscience". The gathering ended with an exhibition featuring paintings resulting therefrom.

The exhibition which took place at the Museum of Visual Arts of the Province of Southern Kazakhstan in Shymkent was inaugurated by the Director of Cultural Affairs of the  Governorate of the Province of Southern Kazakhstan Mr. Nurbolat Kadyruli and the Head of Department of TURKSOY,  Sancar Mülazımoğlu.

The exhibition  featured paintings by 25 artists of  14 countries of the Turkic World who visited Turkistan as well as Sauran, Otırar, Hantau, Karatau, Akmeşit,  Beydibek, Kazıgurt and  Shymkent during the gathering held between August 16th-22nd, 2017.  The paintings depicting historical monuments and natural landscapes of these regions and cities raised great interest among amateurs of art in Kazakhstan.

At the exhibition which brought together many artists, scholars and art-lovers, painters who took part in the 20th Painters' Gathering of TURKSOY were handed over certificates of participation as well as souvenirs as a remembrance of the event.

The 20th Painters' Gathering of TURKSOY took place with the contribution of 25 artists of the Turkic World coming from Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Autonomous Republics of the Russian Federation; Bashkortostan, Khakassia, Yakutia, Chuvashia,  Gagauzia (Moldova), the TRNC, Ukraine, Bosnia Herzegowina and Bulgaria .
