Theaters of Caspian Sea Countries will meet in Kazakhstan

The International Organization of Turkic Culture will organize the "1st International Theater Festival of Caspian Sea Countries" in Aktau, Kazakhstan between August 24th-28th, 2017 .
The festival organized in cooperation of TURKSOY with the Governorate of Mangystau of Kazakhstan will take place with the contribution of the "Yuğ" Theater (Azerbaijan), the Nogay State Drama Theater (Republic of Dagestan, RF), the M. Auezov Kazak State Academic Theater(Almaty, Kazakhstan), the Astrakhan State Drama Theater (RF), the “Ayna” Theater Ensemble (Iran) and the N. Janturin Music and Drama Theater of Mangystau (Aktau, Kazakhstan). National and classical theater plays will be performed by theaters of Caspian Sea countries infront of a jury gathering Israfil Israfilov (Azerbaijan), Laşa Çhartişvili (Georgia), Talgat Temenov, Azamat Satybaldy, Esmuhan Obaev and Esengali Raushanov (Kazakhstan) along with Erdal Küçükkömürcü (Turkey) .
The aim of the festival which will be dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the birthday of the famous Kazak scriptwriter and director Asanali Ashimov will be to strengthen cultural ties among theaters of Caspian Sea countries and encourage new initiatives in the field of theater through the creation of the infrastructure necessary to carry out joint projects.
Theater Directors of the Turkic World will come together in Aktau
The "1st International Theater Festival of Caspian Sea Countries" will also feature the Sixth Meeting of the Board of Theater Directors of TURKSOY Member Countries which will gather Directors of State Theaters of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, the Khakas Republic (RF), Gagauzia (Moldova) and the TRNC. Items on the agenda of the Sixth Meeting of the Board of Theater Directors of TURKSOY Member Countries which will be held on August 26th will include activities carried out after the previous meeting of the afore-mentioned board in Sheki, Azerbaijan, cooperation activities of TURKSOY member countries in the field of theater, problems face in this regard and solutions therefore, the exchange of repertoires among kindred thetares along with various other issues.
The meeting will end with the approval of the final declaration including future activities to be carried out by Theaters of TURKSOY Member Countries.
