The Youth Chamber Orchestra of TURKSOY performed at the Summer Festival of Ohrid
The tour of the Youth Chamber Orchestra of TURKSOY in the Balkans is going on. Following its first concert in Skopje on July 24th, 2017, young talents of the orchestra performed in Ohrid, the Pearl of the Balkans on July 26th, 2017. The Youth Chamber Orchestra which took the scene in the Gligor Prlichev Cultural Center within the framework of the Summer Festival of Ohrid was extremely appreciated by the audience.
The concert took place in the presence of TURKSOY Secretary General Dusen Kasseinov, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Skopje residing in Ankara H. E. Faig Bagirov and the former State Minister of Macedonia Furkan Chako along with many other guests.
This has been the first time the Youth Chamber Orchestra of TURKSOY participated in the Summer Festival of Ohri which is one of the biggest festivals of Macedonia and took place for the 57th time this year. , The organizing committee of the Festival which will go on until August 20th, 2017 expressed its appreciation of the brilliant performance of the orchestra and stressed that this fruitful cooperation should further continue.
The programme of this wonderful concert featured world classics along with works by composers of the Turkic World. The audience which extremely appreciated the performance of young musicians of the Turkic World under their conductors Maestro Anvar Akbarov (Kazakhstan) and Mustafa Mehmedarov (Azerbaijan) gave standing ovations to the artists.
The series of concerts featuring the Youth Chamber Orchestra of TURKSOY started in Ankara on July 20th, 2017 and went on in Bursa (Turkey) prior to Skopje and Ohrid in Macedonia . Within the framework of its tour this year, the Youth Chamber Orchestra of TURKSOY composed of young artists from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Tatarstan (RF) and Bashkortostan (RF) will give concerts in Podgorica (Montenegro), Sarajevo and Mostar (Bosnia Herzegowina). The last concert of the tour will take place in the city of Belgrade in Serbia.
Participating countries: Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, the autonomous republics of the Russian Federation, Bashkortostan and Tatarstan
Contributing artists: The orchestra featuring a different cast every year is composed of Mustafa Mehmandarov, Said Mammadov, Orkhan Cumayev and Sabuhi Akhundov from Azerbaijan, Assem Kalman, Zeynep Suleimenova, Aliya Mashkeyeva, Zhangir Zhubanov, Amina Mashkeyeva and Birzhan Mynbayev from Kazakhstan, Mirlan Ulanbek uulu, Talantbek Moldokanov, Akkyz Idirisova from Kyrgyzstan, Bahram Dolyyev from Turkmenistan, Ilzira Kudashev from Bashkortostan (RF), Donier Avlaiarov and Arslan Saifi from Tatarstan, along with Nazlı Avcı, Pelin Odabaşı, Aliya Okeev, Ilayda Zeynep Koksal Atakan Çalışkan and Yshyn Yshyk from Turkey.
